Dean Collinson Factfile
Dean Collinson was born on March 23rd 1973 in Kingston Upon Hull. He was meant to be named Gary but his father,on the way to register the birth, saw a poster of James Dean in a window and ended up calling him Dean. He apparantly didn't tell Dean's mum for four and a half weeks! (How mad must she have been?)
Dean made his stage debut when he was six, playing the guitar and singing.
At the age of ten he was seen on Jim'll Fix It playing his guitar with Burt Weedon which led to a summer season tour with him.
At 16 Dean went on to the Arts Educational Music and Drama school in London.
1993 - Dean wrote the song Better The Devil You Know which was sung by Sonia and came second in the Eurovision Song Contest.
